I had to Google some of the things listed to find out what they were but hey it's all a part of the learning process! And getting educated about the right foods to eat is the direction I want to go in. This book is amazing the recipes are amazing and very tasteful. I have to guard this book when I take it to work so that no one "borrows" it from me!
couldn't use it.

Due to the fact that all of the recipes use metric system, I could not use this book without having to look up all of the conversions. I probably would have liked this book, if it had been converted for the American audience. Some day I will sit down and do all of the conversions, but don't waste your money if you don't have the time to do the same.
love her!!!

This book is well Brilliant! I started cooking things I never used before. I have dropped 20 pounds in 2 weeks and feel 100% better. My husband even started to eat some of my meals. The conversions charts for farenheit and the metric system are easy enough to print out on the net so not a problem there. The British words for some vegetables were easily looked up on the net too. Invest in a set of scales that weighs grams and ounces and you are set. My only problem is that the portions are way to big for me, so I always cut everything in 1/2 or 1/4. Remember this is a life style change; not a fad diet. Gillian also has menus that are designed for Fall, Winter, Spring and Summer.
